Is it necessary to buy puppy pads after a mommy makeover? Full tummy tuck with muscle repair, hernia repair, breast aug with lift? Is the bleeding that uncontrollable even if drains are placed correctly and no apparent damage to the drains or incision sites? Will the pads br necessary in my recovery process?

Answer: Drainage after a breast reduction should be quite minimal. I personally don't use drains at all with breast reduction. After the original dressings are removed, most patients have very little drainage of any kind. I generally have the breasts covered with a clean, not necessarily sterile, absorbent pad such as a washcloth. When the incisions are completely dry the patient switches over to only a bra.
