I am looking to get a Mommy Makeover June, 2016 in Miami. I live in California and the prices are really high, I also have not seen any results I am particularly enthusiastic about. I am looking to get a tummy tuck, lipo, breast lift, and implants. My question is aftercare. I'm planning on staying in Miami for 12 nights. Is that enough time? The surgeon does offer free follow ups for 1 year, but I don't want to have to fly to Miami every week. Is it hard to find post surgical aftercare

Answer: Follow-up is a very important consideration when considering out-of-state mommy makeover. Aesthetic plastic surgery is not a one-day event but a process including follow-up. In my own practice, I follow patients after a mommy makeover for about two years. Many of the visits can be virtual by way of online photographs. Nevertheless, make certain that you have all the details of your follow-up clear with your surgeon.

Answer: Surgery in a different state? Thanks for the question. It will be best to discuss your post op time frame for staying in town with your surgeon. For my patients who fly in from out of town, I ask that they stay in town minimally for 2 weeks (ideally 3-4 weeks) and they understand that if they have a complication or concern that cannot be addressed via phone / email, I will want to have them come back into the office for examination. In regards to outcome of the planned procedure, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to SEE lots of examples of their work AND preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done.Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.Again, I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. I hope this, and the attached link, helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Mommy makeover in california #Mommymakeover in californiaThere are so many excellent surgeons in LA and OC alone. Miami fees are just as high when performed by board certified surgeons. It will likely be difficult to get the post operative care you need locally with surgery performed elsewhere. I would make all of these arrangments in advance.
