PRP questions: What is the average injections number per one PRP session?

In  my opinion, the chances of developing a shed after PRP are less than 2%. If one uses single spin technology and the platelet rich plasma (3 to 4X), the average number of injections is approximately 10. This assumes that the subdermal Depo injection technique is performed. There should be a minimal amount of downtime.We recommend four monthly treatments and then assessment. There should be photos in my Realself photo book. Find a PRP expert. Ask to see photos.

Inmediately after PRP injections to the scalp you may feel like there are small bumps all over the injected area.  If your provider added a little lidocaine to help wt discomfort you may feel numb for about an hr or so after.  Other than that, there should be no side effects after.  In our office we recommend 4 treatments 30 days apart and then we reevaluate.

    The research performed and the anecdotal evidence would suggest that thickness of hair and density can improve with PRP injections.  The number of sessions as well as the quality of PRP obtained will vary considerably physician to physician.

The number of injections depends on the area that has been affected. The larger the area, the more injections required. I use a small needle (30 ga) and usually inject 15-20x per treatment. The most common protocol is 4 injections one month apart, then a booster 3 months later.
