Alarplasty with a lip lift - will the scars remain visible after healing? (photos)

I would do the alar wedges but not the lip lift. A lip lift will cause the lip to pull the nostrils and distort them further.

The scars are well hidden along the nasal grooves. However a lip lift and alarplasty should not be done together as the healing can be impaired. The incisions for lip lift are just below the alar groove and for alarplasty just above the alar groove. That is too much surgery for a small area and healing can be an issue.
Alarplasty is a very fine and quick procedure that can narrow the nostrils and reduce the flare to soften the appearance. It has other names as well like ‘Weir Excisions’ or ‘Nostril Reduction’. The scar from a lip lift is well hidden as is an alar plasty. You need a physical exam to decide of these procedure will be right for you. Your smile may show too much of you gums with a lip lift. Good luck!
