i am extremely sensitive tomedication. I will have lipo on my front and back bra rolls, hips and outer thighs. i was told be4 the surgery i will be given the cocktail but amworried of the effects and i dont want to take anything. i've had vein stripping w/o sedation succesfully. i ask is coz the doctor is strongly suggesting the cocktail and i want to make sure it is not a dangerous mix and that any of the drugs arent necessary to help the effects of the anesthesia and i can decline to take it.

Fluid build up can occur with tummy tucks and occasionally with liposuction. If no drains were used or only used for a short time, the fluid build up is more common. Try to minimize your bending and wear your compression. You may need to be drained a few more times.
Excess fluid can occur after liposuction and after the tuck. I would suggest let your physician drain you at least weekly. If the amounts are not decreasing each time, you may need a drain. Do wear your compression garments and avoid abdominal exercises and running.
I am sorry you had a painful experience. The heart rate was probably up due to the pain. Initially, the rate might have rose some from the epinephrine, but it would have later dropped and usually does not go above 100.
