Prolonged swelling 5 weeks post Renuvion/Vaser Chin Lipo. Will I still have a positive reusult?

I had Renuvion/Vaser Chin Lipo 5 weeks ago. Didn’t have a lot of fat to remove, mild skin laxity. Still having swelling when take off compression...Chin fills up with fluid, goes down and a bit doughy after maunual massage. Looks best for first hour after compression comes off. Will I still have a positive reusult? I tend to heal slowly in general. See profile page for before. Really getting scared about outcome and want to ensure I’m set up for best positive outcome.

Thank you for your pictures and questions. This is a new technology and to be honest with you, I have not been that impressed with the consistency of the results I have seen and this is why I have not offered it in my practice. Some patients seem to have good results with minimal side effects and some patients have poor results and sometimes terrible side effects that can be permanent. I think that is the risk of diving into a new "minimally invasive" technology like this. For better or worse, the first patients are somewhat of a "guinea pig" in terms of the outcomes. I would discuss your concerns with your surgeon and ask them about their experience with outcomes because I am willing to bet the number of cases is not large.Best of luck!Dallas R. It is always best to communicate closely with your Plastic Surgeon during the post operative period so that they can inform, guide, and offer recovery treatments.  It does take time to heal and the addition of Vaser and Renuvion can extend the typical healing timeline.
