Stretch marks and scars need a combination approach for improvement. I recommend a combination of microneedling/prp, lasers (Erbium, Fraxel Laser, Excel V, Pulsed Dye Laser, laser genesis, yellow laser) or radiofrequency devices like intensif, fractora, skinfinity, venus viva. Stretch marks can't be officially "cured" and it will take a combination approach and consistent treatment to see great results. Luckily, there is a multitude of great treatments available currently that can be utilized. I recommend seeing an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer
Stretch marks can be difficult to treat. They can only be completely removed with surgery resulting in a scar which is usually hidden in an area that is not visible. Other options such as lasers, microneedling, radiofrequency, and J-plasma treatments can definitely improve the appearance of the stretch mark (20-70%) but cannot make it disappear entirely. Usually fresh or more recent stretch marks are pink and red in color. Overtime, the coloration should naturally fade into your usual skin tone or a lighter color. This will also make the stretch mark less noticeable over time. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic SurgeonIG: @drjohnsonlee
