Rhinoplasty is considered a cosmetic procedure. Insurance may reimburse for a medically necessary component such as septoplasty (to correct for a deviated septum for improved breathing) but will not reimburse for a cosmetic procedure.
Amerigroup only covers septoplasty surgery. Any alteration to the outside of the nose is not covered by Medicaid. If you need the inside corrected sometimes your surgeon can correct that part and have it covered by Medicaid (Amerigroup). If you want external work done then you would have to pay out of pocket as that is considered cosmetic.
