5 days post-op rhinoplasty. Is it okay to clean wound with betadine solution?

Hi Doctors, I am on my 5th day after a closed rhinoplasty, no broken bone just implant. I cleaned my nose with normal saline water and dried it as per my Doctor's instruction. I just took the extra step of dabbing it with betadine solution, is this okay? Thank you.

The safest advice any Surgeon would give is follow the instructions that your Surgeon has given you.  If you think that you know better than your Surgeon, or if you have a concern which your Surgeon is not aware of, you should discuss this with him/her.

Thanks for the question.
I don't think you can do any harm by doing so. Betadine is one antiseptic that we use during surgery to scrub the area before surgery.
However your surgeon is your best adviser and not us.
