Was my CO2 fractional laser ablative or not as there was oozing/scabs?

I'm probably late in the game but I had Co2 about 6 months ago. I expected the worse, but there was no oozing, no scabs the worse it got for me was red skin with specs of white scales on my face. I was told the worse you look the better the results especially day 2 and 3. I'm wondering if any of my treatment was ablative or not. Maybe I'm the exception but before I spend my money again, I want to be sure I'm getting my money worth. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
