Hi, I was wondering if saddle bags have to be lipoed for a Brazilian butt lift? Or can they be let untouched in request of the patient? Also what are those two tiny incisions under the butt cheek and upper thigh created for? I hope I make sense. Thanks!

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Cutiewanabootyy,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Fat Grafting to the Buttocks Thank you for the question. You can harvest fat from any area on the body to use for fat grafting to the buttocks. If you like the width of your hips, your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon does not have to take fat from the saddlebags area. Sometimes fat can even be grafted in the hips at request of the patient based on the shape they're hoping for. Stab incisions are used to graft to the buttocks. One of the pros of the procedure is that although there is a lot going on under the skin, only a small incision is needed in order to introduce the cannula that the fat will go through. I would recommend setting up a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to discuss the procedure in more detail as well as what your goals are. Good luck and best wishes!
