Thank you for your question.In the first few weeks after surgery you may see some lumps and creases in the area you had surgery. You may need to readjust your garment or change the garment you are wearing because these creases can become permanent if you continue to wear the garment wrong or too tight.  Lymphatic massage can help to get rid of the lumps you are feeling, but this is completely normal. I would have your surgeon evaluate your progress in person and give suggestions to make sure this does not effect your final result.  Good luck with recovery.

I recommend following up with your Doctor to make sure your compression garment fits correctly. I have my patients wear customized compression. Keep in mind, it will take 3-6 months for your final results. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Thanks for posting. Yes, you can have some significant skin irregularities in the first few weeks after surgery, including some lumpy feeling areas. At this point, I typically start my patients on a regimen of massaging the areas with their fingers. You should have your surgeon check your compression garment and make sure it is fitting correctly as well. It is a bit unusual that the skin is so swollen in the central portion of your abdomen. Best to check in with your surgeon for further advice.
