How many CCs needed to go from a 36A to full C cup? (Photos)

Thank you for your question. It's difficult to say exactly, but every 150cc would be about 1 cup size. The most important factor when sizing implants, is working closely with your surgeon, in person, to find the implant size that gives you the look that you desire. Careful measurements of your breast and chest wall will help determine which size implants will fit within your natural breast footprint. Taking into account your desired look, and your measurements, an implant is chosen that specifically fits your body.  Unfortunately, online recommendations are not that helpful. Make sure that you have a good relationship with your plastic surgeon, so that you two can work together to find the right size. In my office, patients try on implants in a bra and clothing. There able to see how they look in the mirror, and in photographs. Most women know they have found the right size when their breasts come into balance with their shoulders, waist, hips and buttocks. Women are also encouraged to bring in wish pictures, so that I can get a sense of the look that they would like to achieve. Good luck with the process!

for your question. Unfortunately, it is impossible to give any reliable advice
on specific implant sizing and type without performing a full history and
physical examination. Safe implant choice depends on multiple factors,
including breast base diameter, skin and soft tissue quality, and patient
goals. During evaluation, utilizing cup sizes can be misleading as there are no
standardized bra cup sizes. A "C-cup" from one bra manufacturer
may be significantly different from a "C-cup" from another bra
company. This variability makes it next to impossible to discuss and predict
cup size after augmentation mammoplasty.  I suggest that you review
photographs of pre-operative and post-operative breast augmentation patients to
help get a sense of what size and type of implants may attain the
appearance that you are looking to achieve (the
"breastimplantsbymentor" online database would be a good place
to start: the photographs at this site list the size and type of
implants placed, which should give you a good idea of what implants
might realize your goals). Base your decisions on the photographic
results. You can then review the photographs and discuss your desires and
concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

It is very difficult without assessing you in person to know what implant size will be a good size for you. Keep in mind that implant size selection not only depends on your personal preference, but it also depends on your unique measurements. There are various types of implants that can help you attain the look you are going for. A thorough consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon will allow you to communicate what your desired result is and will inform you as to what is possible to achieve your goals. Dear amgz18,Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. for a breast augmentation.  The size, profile, and shape of the
implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall
measurements, and soft tissue quality.  This decision should
be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you
and your surgeon.  This entire surgery
can be performed with a small incision technique.  Make sure you
specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have
had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most important aspect is to find a
surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a
qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Choosing the correct breast implants may seem overwhelming due to the options available for implant material (silicone or saline), placement (under or over the muscle), implant size and shape. Treatment plans are individualized for each patient based on findings during the consultation to meet your goals. 
Selecting the correct implant size and shape is among the most important decisions in a successful breast augmentation procedure. Placement of the identical implant will not produce the same results in all patients due to differences in:
1.Dimensions of the breast 
2.Diameter of the chest 
3.Volume of breast tissue 
4. Height and weight 
5. Breast shape, including breast ptosis and asymmetry
I rely on 3 methods to advise my patients:
1. Dimensional planning 
2. Gel implant sizing 
3. 3-Dimensional Vectra imageing system.
At the time of consultation, measurements are taken allowing for dimensional planning to select the implant which best fits the base diameter of the breast. Gel implant sizing is performed to allow you to visualize augmentation the with the various sized implants. Vectra 3-D imaging has been a very important method in my practice in selecting the correct implant size and shape as it allows you to see what you will look like following augmentation with any of the available implants. 3D imaging is a very useful tool for assessing implant volume, shape, and profile prior to surgery.  

Patients have a different idea about cup size because sizes vary significant from one bra manufacturer of another. Although this can help to get an idea of what a woman is hoping to achieve,  I prefer to have a patient to share look at photos and find many patients who look like they do pre-operatively with a result that is appealing to youThere is a range of size that will result in a natural look and keep breast tissue in tact. You may wish to view galleries that feature small breast implants (yes some of us specialize in that) and / or galleries that include athletes or figure models as often these women start with limited breast tissue. Women with small breasts can acheive a beautiful looking result with breast implants. The size of the implant is only one consideration. The shape of the implant, the placement, and ultimately the expertise and aesthetic ideal of your surgeon will determine your outcome. When selecting a plastic surgeon, consider the following for safety and ideal resultsCertified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
Has many, many before and after images of surgery he / she has performed
Has privileges at local hospitals
Works with a board-certified MD anesthesiologist to administer anesthesia

Often, a plastic surgeon with an interest in aesthetic surgery will be a members of ASAPS
It is also important to ask about the medical professionals in addition to your plastic surgeon who will be caring for you before, during and after your surgery. 
if you are an out of town patient, ask about details of managing care.

in my practice in helping patients see the outcome they get from different volumes.  So I would suggest you consider that to start with.  Your surgeon should employ some method to help choose a size that would work AND more importantly, fit on your chest.  You don't have a lot of space between your mounds so much be especially careful not to create symmastia and still have your nipples centered over your mounds. What does this mean?  You may not be able to get what you want in terms of the cc's you liked.  

Your specific size will depend upon what you consider a full C cup is and your measurements. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, being examined, and trying on a range of sizes best suited for your frame and tissue. You will then be able to choose what size you want.
