I had 4 syringes of voluma injected in my cheeks 2 weeks ago. I don't notice any changes. None at all. Did it work?

This is an impossible question to answer without the benefit of pictures and an evaluation.  Both Sculptra and Voluma are excellent products for adding facial volume.  The amount of Sculptra and/or Voluma required would depend on the extent of facial volume depletion at the outset.  The difference in reaction to these products is that Sculptra provides a delayed volumizing effect, whereas Voluma is immediate.  The efficacy studies for Voluma in the Unites States are based on a 6 syringe model. These are both very technique dependent products, but further comments cannot be made without more information.

Voluma is a wonderful new product that is designed to help add volume and more importantly, a lift, to the cheekbone and cheek area.  The results of Voluma are immediate, especially if injected in the cheekbone area.  So if you don't see any results right after the injection, it's not due to technique or the product.  It has to do with injecting an adequate volume, which areas are injected, and the volume deficit in your cheeks.  I usually use one to two syringes to get very subtle, but noticeable results.  The researchers who did the studies on Voluma used an average of 6 syringes to achieve clear and substantial improvement.  It would be very helpful if you had before after pictures to compare.  If you had the cheek hollows injected the results will not be as noticeable and you might need more volume.  I encourage you to visit your doctor again and compare pictures if any and possibly more volume to get adequate correction.

It would be unusual not to notice a difference with 4 syringes of Voluma.  I think your best option would be to go back to the doctor that did the injections and compare your before photos.  Sometimes we forget exactly how we looked before a procedure.

I have been using Voluma for about 4 years and always notice changes with 4 syringes. Please return to your surgeon to review before photos.  It is possible you may require more Voluma for the results you desire.

Voluma is a newer hyaluronic acid that is a longer lasting product than some of the others on the market.  It is technique dependent. You may want to look at your before and after photos.

4 syringes of Voluma is a lot of Voluma.   Many PHYSICIANS rarely use more than one at any  one treatment. Hopefully pictures were taken before and you now need photos taken after so you can see the difference.  Possibly your expectations were excessive but go compare pre and post photos.  With 4 syringes of Voluma you have to show a change .     My Best,  Dr C

I have yet to use 4 syringes of Voluma on anyone - especially someone who already has multiple vials of Sculptra! I cannot image that you have no changes after 4 syringes of Voluma, and multiple vials of Sculptra. Can you post before and after photos?
