Is it too early to experience shock loss? 3 weeks post-op.

To be specific, this question refers to my exsisting hair, not my grafts. 30 yr old male. NW 2.5. On propecia 5 yrs, no further loss or thinning the entire time. Just underwent a small 850 FUE. Majority of grafts placed in area with no hair Since the HT my hairline started thinning quickly over the last week. Not to be dramatic but I’m definitely loosing native hair. Odd thing is they’re thick hairs, not thin. All have white caps In your experience does this reverse? Going to the doc soon.

If the injury was severe enough to cause normal hair loss, then it may be an issue.  Sometimes if you dislodged a graft it may bleed and that area may not grow.  There is no way to say how many grafts you lost just by a description on the Internet.

If you are concerned please follow up with your doctor for an exam. You will have hair loss after surgery. Not all the grafts will take. You won't really know until you see results in 6 to 12 months.

Specific medical treatment issues should be discussed with your doctor especially if you are not sure how to use the medication.   It may take 6 to 12 months to see the results of a hair transplant surgery.  If you are concerned it is best to discuss it with your doctor.

Weight lifting does not cause baldness. If you are concerned, follow up with your doctor to see photos before your surgery so you can see if you lost more hair.
