I am wanting to have: -Lipo on back, stomach, buffalo hump, neck (double chin) - Breast lift + fat transfer - Monsplasty I was wondering what procedures would be OK to have in one go, and what ones I should wait for after the first surgery.
Answer: Combining Surgeries Combining multiple cosmetic procedures, such as liposuction, breast augmentation, and monsplasty, is a common practice known as a "Mommy makeover" or a combination body contouring procedure. While it is possible to combine these procedures safely, it's essential to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate your individual health status and medical history to determine the best approach for you. Here are some considerations: Safety: Safety is paramount when combining multiple procedures. Your surgeon will assess factors such as your overall health, medical history, BMI, and any underlying medical conditions to ensure that you are a suitable candidate for surgery and that the combination of procedures can be performed safely. Duration of Surgery: Combining multiple procedures can result in a longer surgical time, which may increase the risk of complications such as blood clots, anesthesia-related issues, and prolonged recovery. Your surgeon will discuss the potential risks and benefits of combining procedures and help you make an informed decision. Recovery: Recovery from combined procedures may be more extensive compared to undergoing each procedure individually. It's essential to follow your surgeon's post-operative instructions carefully and allow yourself an adequate amount of time to recover fully. Customization: Each patient's anatomy and cosmetic goals are unique, and the combination of procedures will be tailored to address your specific concerns and achieve the desired outcome. Your surgeon will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan that takes into account your individual needs and preferences. Results: Combining procedures can lead to comprehensive aesthetic improvements, addressing multiple areas of concern simultaneously. However, it's crucial to have realistic expectations about the results and understand that the final outcome may take time to fully manifest as swelling subsides and the body heals. During your consultation with a plastic surgeon, be sure to discuss your goals, concerns, and expectations openly. Your surgeon will conduct a thorough evaluation and provide you with personalized recommendations based on your unique situation to help you achieve your desired aesthetic outcomes safely and effectively.

Answer: Mommy Makeover As long as you are relatively healthy, all procedures could be done at the same time. It’s usually better to do liposuction multiple areas when the patient wants a fat transfer because there’s more to work with. There are some restraints that might hold you back, obesity, size and shape of your breasts, etc, but your surgeon can look at you and tell you instantly if they’ll be able to do all procedures at the same time or if you will need to break them up to have optimal results. I would love to see you here at Smith Plastic Surgery to go over how I can help you reach your body goals.

Answer: Combination of procedures Dear Friendly39427, I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others. Answer: Ask your surgeon Each surgeon has their own opinion on what can be combined or staged, therefore it would be best to speak with your board certified plastic surgeon for their advice. It may be possible to combine all, or just a couple. Generally speaking, patients tend to choose to resolve the issue that concerns them the most first.
