Male facelift concerns. How can I avoid getting that tight taut look?

Im a 54 year old male and I don't like the way my face and neck had started to droop. It makes me look tired and unhappy. Im thinking about a lift but Im worried about looking weird. People like Paul Hogan and Kenny Rogers look terrible and they have a lot of money. Id hate to end up with that tight taut look. I wear my hair very short and dont have much hair in the sideburn area to hide scars. Im trying to find a Sydney doctor who is very experienced with very natural male facelifts

Thank you for your question. Natural facelift results for men can be achieved when the masculine balance and proportion of the face are properly maintained. Since you have shorter hair, the incisions will need to be placed in inconspicuous areas and meticulously closed to prevent scarring and movement of facial hair. 
When your specific features are taken into account, a facelift is an excellent option to create a natural, lifted appearance while angulating and defining the neck and jawline. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who has extensive experience with the unique aesthetics of male facial features. They will be able to discuss any concerns you may have and suggest the best course of action for you.

Your concerns are understandable. Celebs often go overboard in trying to achieve a certain look. Most respectable and experienced surgeons would not do that. If you are realistic and understand that you will not look 25 again - just a better version of yourself so should be happy. Then go on at least three consultation and look at a lot of photos from each doctor and make sure they achieve a result that you would also be happy with.

Selection of the right surgeon is the most important decision to make if you want a good result. A facelift can look very natural if done well. In particular careful attention has to be paid to how the ears are treated. Look at Joe Biden’s ears for a good example of ears poorly shaped
