How soon after receiving hyaluronic filler can I have Fraxel laser on my cheeks?

Question

I have recently had hyaluronic injections into my cheeks. 1 ml of firm filler deep into each cheek to provide structure, followed a week later by 1ml of softer filler in each cheek (which was to soften old acne scars by way of micro filling). I purchased a course of 3 Fraxel treatments and used one last September.I would like to have a second session but am concerned that the filler will be compromised. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello, it is advisable to wait at least one month after each filler to have any type of laser, including Fraxel. Best of luck, Dr. Longwill.

Hello LydiaSnow, Thank you for your question! Fraxel is an excellent laser system for facial rejuvenation and promoting collagen production. It is not recommended to go over the skin with the Fraxel laser system the same day you have had your filler injections. We want proper healing to take place. However, Fraxel will not affect your fillers if separated between 1-2 weeks. Hope this helps you!

I like to wait two weeks after having fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane before having any laser treatments.  Fraxel laser will not affect your filler but you may require several Fraxel treatments for your acne scarring.
