Is Genesis Laser good enough for surgical scars or is Fraxel the better laser for this? (Photo)

Hello, and thank you for your question and the photo! Scars from a neck lift can take a year or more to fully settle into their final healed state. The redness, puffiness or indentations you see now are likely to look very different given more time to heal. At this point, the best thing you can do for your scars is keep them moisturized and protected from the sun, and use anti-scarring measures and treatments as recommended by the surgeon who performed your neck lift. 
You can supplement these with a gentle laser treatment like Laser Genesis to diminish the redness while you heal. If you are unsatisfied with the appearance of your scars after they have fully healed, a fractional laser treatment can help even out any indentations or raised bumps. You should work with an experienced, licensed plastic surgeon -- preferably the one who performed your neck lift, since they are likely to know your skin very well -- to determine which treatments will be best for you at certain points in your healing process. Time is going to be the best thing for your scars so be patient. It can take up to a year for them to fully resolve. While Laser Genesis can be extremely beneficial is helping even out the skin tone that occur with a scar, it will not be effective on "dents". For those, a fractional laser would be better.

First, time is going to help tremendously with the scarring. Second, Laser Genesis is something I often use on scarring because it helps alleviate the color differentiation in the area, but it will NOT resurface the area. So if you have indentations like you mentioned, then a fractional laser would be a good option, but I'd wait about 6 months post neck lift to do it.
