Going swimming will not reduce the swelling after your juvederm treatment. I would not recommend immersing your face into a pool until 24 hours after your treatment as you need time for your fresh injections to heal. I would recommend applying ice periodically to the area that was injected for up to 48 hrs to reduce the swelling. Filler takes two weeks to fully settle and for swelling to subside.
My suggestion would be to wait 24 hours prior to immersing you face in water. 24 hours is satisfactory time wait to allow any of the needle puncture sites to close. As far as the effects on swelling, I think you would be better off applying cold compresses. Good Luck
There would not be a problem swimming after a Juvederm treatment but I do not believe it would have any affect on facial swelling from the injection.
If you still have the lump 4 weeks after your lip filler, i would return to your doctor to have the lump dissolved with hyaluronidase.
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can have a thermalift 2 weeks post Juvederm. Ensure you are working with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon for this procedure. Best,
Thank you for your question. The choice is entirely up to you. Nurse injectors can be just as skillful as anyone else. Consider a consultation with the nurse first to meet him/ her and ensure you feel comfortable. Best,
Swelling is a common side effect from lip injections and can last for approx. 2 weeks. After 2 weeks if you still have an undesired look, schedule a follow up with your injector to discuss your concerns. At that time you may have the product removed with hyaluronidase. Best,
Thank you for your question. There is a possibility the area still contains product and needs to be dissolved. Sometimes hyaluronidase treatments need to be repeated in order to obtain full results. Best,
Thank you for your question. From your photo it is difficult to assess the area. Please schedule a follow up with your injector to discuss your concerns and obtain treatment. If this is a lump of product you may require a hyaluronidase injection. Best,
