Under eye area help. 6/52 post Juvaderm 1ml filler tear trough 2/52 68 units botox (top face). I am just about to have some of the filler dissolved, my under eye is suffering hard. I am only 32 and need a solution for these lines, I would like to smile again without looking like a tired clown. I have previously had the combination before and worked great, only difference was this time it was injected via a cannula and not a needle.
Answer: Improving Lines with fillers, botox, sculptra, ultherapy, rf treatments, lasers, microneedling/prp These fillers are good for improving under the eyes, but keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often.Lines can be improved with a combination of Botox and/or fillers for the lines themselves and to build anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building. Ultherapy is a great skin tightening device, but works best in combination with other treatments like RF treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP or sculptra to get increased collagen, tightening and improve skin tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: There is a solution. Good morning,Juvederm is not a filler indicated for the lower area of the eye. The best filler to date is Teosyal Redensity II, created specifically for this area.As for your questions, our centers have very specific protocols, especially in this area of the face that, in our opinion, should not be very stressed, but instead well treated with minimally invasive treatments. It is essential to have a good deep hydration, which allows any subsequent treatment to have much higher results. We always carry out an electroporation with 16ml of concentrated hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins and botox like. After one or two weeks (depending on the patient), or we solve the problem with a temporary treatment (Botox + Teosyal), or we start a protocol with Radiofrequency + HIFU (ultrasound), which allows to perform a minilifting of the area.We remain at your disposal if you want more information.Sincerely.

Answer: Hyaluronidase to dissolve swelling from Juvederm under the eyes In general, the Juvederm family of fillers are not good under the eyes as they attract too much fluid and cause swelling that can last years. Any dermal filler can cause this under the eyes but especially the Juvederm ones. Better is the original Restylane (with lidocaine fine) or Belotero. Restylane will last longer, but higher risk of appearing blue than Belotero. Juvederm like all the hyaluronic acid fillers can by dissolved by hyaluronidase, which is very safe as allergic reactions are very rare. Juvederm in particular can take repeat and high dose injections. I would get your Juvederm dissolved and wait a few months before considering any additional filler. For the lines you could consider laser or radiofrequency resurfacing, wrinkle blockers (e.g., Xeomin or Botox), and quality skincare that can tighten and better hydrate the skin (AOX by skinceuticals is good as is hyaluronic acid intensifier, which we bundle with all our filler injections). The cannula should not of made a difference and if the right size is used is much safer. Don't give up. The swelling should improve once properly addressed. Best regards.
