I am a boxer, I want operation my nose, can I get to continue to train boxing after operation or not?

Hello,
After the first 6 weeks of surgery you are allowed to return to your daily activities and light workouts. However, boxing is an extremely active exercise and would not be recommended until 1 year after surgery. Boxing brings with the risk of getting hit in the nose, and permanently ruining your nose job. It is up to you if you want to take that risk.

Thank you for your question. During your post op care, you need to avoid any activity that could put pressure on your face or could damage to your nose. Any activity that increases your blood pressure runs the risk of causing a nose bleed, slowing and potentially impairing your healing process. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to learn more about your healing expectations.

Thank you for the question! Yes, you can resume boxing after you go through a period of healing. Typically, patients can fully resume physical exercise after 6 weeks following plastic surgery. Once healed after a rhinoplasty (several months), you can physically return to boxing. Whether that is is the best interest of protecting your nose surgery results is another issue to be considered.

Hello, Nose surgery result , especially the tip region show up over a period of an year, as the nose heals. Meanwhile , most sports and exercises are allowed after a month . If you get hurt on your nose after 1 month , nose will swell again and your final result may be compromised or delayed. After 6 months -1 year- nose is totally healed and you can feel it to be soft and natural. Then it is like any other unoperated nose.
