The first lips on the pictures is the look i want to achieve. Second one is my lips. Would it be possible for my Lip shape to get the shape on the pic? And how many ml would i need? If i choose to begin only with 0,5 ml will it make any difference to my lips? (I want to do the upper Lip only) Thanks x

Yes, .5 ml will make a subtle difference. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns.

You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical lip. .5 ml will make a subtle improvement. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Great question,
Starting with 1 cc syringe is the usual amount someone would begin with lip fillers. Your lips will swell after initial injection and after 4-14 days of allowing them to settle and you still feel as if you want more, you should contact your current cosmetic physician and he/she can address the area.

I would start with 1 (1 mL) syringe of Restylane since you already have good lip volume to begin with. You can always add more filler as needed at followup appointments.

Thank you for the question and photos.
It really depends on your starting point and your desired end point. If you just want to add volume to your upper lip then 0.5ml may be sufficient. However this increase in volume may lead to a mismatch between your top and bottoms lips. This might not be evident when viewed straight on (like in these pictures) but can look odd when viewed from the side.
I would be prepared to use up to 1ml. As a rule, I also I never use more than 1ml in a single sitting.
There is no substitute for discussing your desires and options through with a board certified plastic surgeon who can examine your lips and the way they move in person.

Getting your intended result is achievable when using the correct fillers.  I would recommend getting a consultation from a Dr. who is experienced in lip injections and by whom you like their before and after results of patients that they have seen before you.
