I got the fillers almost a week ago and they were amazing for the first 3 days, but then the next day after that I woke up to these white spots. There was definitely no trace of these before because I had been observing the healing process of the red injection spots since they were done. When I asked the doctor who did the injections she said they should go away with time, but from what I’m reading it could be fordyce.

There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

Glands are present everywhere on our body including the lips. On occasion, those glands called Fordyce spots can become more visible after dermal filler injections. They will become less visible over time and return to their normal state  as the filler dissolve. Moisturizing the lips daily may help. All the best, Dr. Michon
