For the last year, my (angular?) veins has been getting bigger and bigger. They stand out when I smile or laugh, and I do not recognise my self anymore. They also branches out on my nose, to my upper eyelids and forhead. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them? Thanks!

Answer: Angular veins The veins pictured drain directly into the cavernous sinus at the base of the brain. Treating those veins with sclerotherapy would put you at very high risk of cavernous sinus thrombosis which could be potentially fatal. The risk of treatment does not outweigh the potential benefits. I have no experience in doing a phlebectomy in this area but perhaps others will weigh in. It may be possible to ligate the vein near the angle of the eye and then do a distal microphlebectomy but I have never done that nor seen it done so I would advise extreme caution in that area.
