No change after four vials of Sculptra?

Thank you for sharing your question.  Sculptra does work slowly, over a 4-6 week course from treatment.  Manufacturers recommendations are for a vial of Sculptra for every decade of life so you may require additional treatment.  I would voice your concerns to your injector, and then determine if Sculptra or another filler family would offer greater success.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question.  It's difficult to provide exact recommendations without assessing you in-person.  Generally speaking, it takes 6-8 weeks to see the initial results from Sculptra, and they continue to improve for up to 4-6 months.  This is because Sculptra is different from other fillers, and actually works with your body to stimulate new collagen production - this process takes time.  
I also find that because the results from Sculptra are subtle, and build over such a long period of time, patients often don't see the full results until they actually look at their before and after photos.  It may be worthwhile to follow-up with your injector to discuss your concerns and review your photos.  Best of luck!

Sculptra is a product that takes a significant amount of time and several treatments to see results because it's stimulating your own collagen. Typically Sculptra takes three treatments and could definitely be more than 4 vials, just depends on the amount of volume loss. You really need to give it at least six months before seeing your final result. While other fillers can have an immediate result, they do not last as long and are not appropriate for major volume loss. I would urge you to be patient but of course discuss your progress and concerns with your doctor.

Thank you for your question. In our practice we use a lot of Sculptra and always counsel our patients to wait approximately six months to really see the effect. Almost always our patients receive six vials of Sculptra. I would recommend waiting for further improvement. If you need more immediate results combine the Scupltra with another treatment like lyft or voluma to provide immediate change as the Sculptra kicks in.
