Bio Oil or Silicone Gel Scar Treatment?

I just had a breast reduction 1 week ago and am looking into scar treatments for a couple of weeks time. I have been told by everyone to use bio oil but have also read good things about silicone gel. Which is better? Also I need to massage my breast but how do you do this using silicone gel... as the ones I have seen from online shops instruct to put the cream on the scars and leave for 5 minutes to dry where as I can see how you can massage the whole breast using bio oil?

Each doctor has his/her own protocol following surgery.  I would recommend that you contact your plastic surgeon to see how he would like you to proceed.  Personally, I don't usually leave steri-strips in place for more than a week.
