Can I have my surgery after abortion? I have my breast reduction scheduled in a week.

If there are no complications from the pill abortion, six weeks after the abortion may be a reasonable time period to schedule your BR.  This depends upon the nature of the abortion, the postoperative course, the point during the pregnancy, the relative weight gain, your psychological well being.  This must be evaluated on an individual basis by your OB/GYN and your plastic surgeon.

Depending on the impact that the pregnancy had on your breasts, you may want to delay your surgery. Consult your surgeon as he/she knows the scope of the surgery and the specifics about you.

I suggest you wait for about a month to six weeks before you do your breast reduction. This will allow enough time for your breasts to go back to pre-pregnancy size, making your breast reduction planning more accurate.
Make sure you get breast reduction from an experienced, reputable, and board-certified plastic surgeon.
