Tattoo removal is typically not covered by insurance as it is a cosmetic procedure. Most centers will have some sort of financing plan. Find a provider with a lot of experience, even if it is not the cheapest option. Best of luck, Dr M
Insurance does not cover laser tattoo removal. Many providers offer financing and payment plans through different financial institutions. Some plans do not charge any interest rate, while others do. It all depends on several factors such as your credit score, financing plan that you choose, etc. Research providers in your area and contact them to get information about financing options that they offer so you can narrow down your choice. Do not neglect that experience of the provider as well as the laser being used is of crucial importance when it comes to the success of your tattoo removal. Good luck.

Hello. Thanks for the question. I have not hear of any insurance company that will cover a tattoo removal procedure. However, we work with a couple of financing companies that will offer you the option of making monthly payments. The good side of these specific financing companies is that if you pay your balance within a year (considering that you opt for the 12 months financing plan) they will not charge you any interests at all. I hope you find this useful.Best of lucks!
Thank you for your question. Tattoo removal is not typically covered through insurance as it is an elective cosmetic procedure. The good news is that many offices do offer financing/payment options. We utilize CareCredit which is a popular financing company. Pico lasers are the most advanced technology. In my practice we utilize the PiQo4 laser which has 4 Pico wavelengths making it possible to remove tattoos faster and safer then older laser systems. I have been practicing tattoo removal for almost 20 years. I hope this helps. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question. Insurance does not cover tattoo removal. You can finance it a variety of ways. Most of our cosmetic patients who finance their procedures use Carecredit. I have been doing laser tattoo removal for over 25 years and we charge per treatment so there is not a big upfront charge; just pay as you go. In order to have the fewest number of treatments, spread out the procedures as long as possible. While the standard recommendation is to wait about 6 weeks between treatments, you will get more fading with each treatment if you give your immune system longer to work on the area and therefore get fewer treatments in the long run. This also gives you more time to save up for each treatment. Be sure to see a physician who is experienced in tattoo removal.
