Addressing Submandibular Glands prior to neck lift (22 years old) - is there a nonsurgical option? (Photos)
For the past two years, most likely as a result of an infection, my submandibular glands have remained very prominent, which has caused significant fullness to my face and distorted my facial contour. They are even more noticeable whenever I swallow or press my tongue to the roof of my mouth in any way. Because I am currently in the process of finding a surgeon to perform a deep neck lift on me, I have this fear that the surgery will only make the glands more visible if they are not dealt with in some kind of way. Although I know that many surgeons perform submandibular gland reductions alongside neck lifts, I am a little reluctant to deal with them surgically and was wondering if there would be any other kind of non-surgical treatment that could shrink them down to the way they were before. And, furthermore, if there are non-surgical solutions out there, how would those solutions potentially make a deep neck lift more difficult/dangerous for the surgeon perform it, if at all?
