I read everywhere that about 70% of people see a difference. She told me she will be honest and the success rate is only 10% (and that 90% of people see no difference at all). She said it should only be used if we’ve tried everything else and it didnt work. Is she just bad or is she really being honest? Please only honest responses, i don’t have much money but i’m willing to pay if it really makes a difference.

Answer: Success in PRP Hello, great question! In the right patient, the rate of success of PRP against hair loss is 80 or 90 percent. The secret is to know who is a good candidate for the treatment. The doctor should evaluate the patient's condition to be able to recommend it. Good luck!

Answer: Answer may vary So about 1/3 see no results, another 1/3 see fair results and about 1/3 see great results. Success varies on age, inflammatory state, and such. The older you are generally after 60s i see less results with prp. The best results are always achieved when prp is combined with other medical treatments such as minoxdil or finasteride. Depends how much hair loss you have and what your norwood and ludwig score is should be evaluated, I tell my patient if the whole crown of your scalp is shiny and you cannot see follicle on trichoscope exam than probably prp wont do much and may to think about hair transplant with medical management of topical or off label use of minoxdil to grow hair much as possible. Low light laser therapy too in combination with prp and minoxdil has fda approval standing as well
