Is there a way to make it look normal
Answer: Depends... Hello joshiwuh,Tough to address this question without photos, but as I'm sure you have already been told, the best way to treat a cauliflower ear is to drain the blood as soon as it forms, before it becomes a hard block of scar. There may be some hope, depending on how bad things look at this point. Expect that your surgeon could likely help improve things, but at this point your ear will likely not be able to be returned to the exact appearance before the damage was done. I would recommend seeing either an ENT that specializes in ear aesthetics or a plastic surgeon with advanced training in facial aesthetics or ear reconstruction. Hope this helps!dr.silver

Answer: Cauliflower ear While it is difficult to give best answer without seeing pictures, generally speaking, cauliflower ears can be corrected with surgery. However, the extent of correction attainable is dependent on the severity. I recommend that you be evaluated by a Plastic Surgeon who has completed an additional fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery to see what options are available. During my additional training and practice for example, I have corrected numerous ear deformities ranging from absence of an ear to birth defects to trauma.
