Steroid to fix fold in tragus? (Photo)

Question

Had facelift 15 months ago, left with distorted tragus, thick and soft. Asked my surgeon for a surgical revission, he didd not recommend. B4 i knew properly what was happening, he injected the surrounding area with steroid, to thin the area. Immediately hot,swollen after. No side-effects were discussed,or the product. Now i am freaking out, that he has put timebomb in my face that will destroy fat and skin and disfigure me. Should I massage? Its been 24hrs, its warm, sore. Will i get disfigured?

You need to give it time. At the 15 month mark, you weren’t happy with the appearance of a tragus which could be the result of your bodies healing and for all purposes is within the range of an expected result based on your healing. I probably would not surgically revise the tragus because it could heal worse.  A judicious use of steroid is reasonable and he did not put a timebomb in your face. It’s best to follow with your doctor if you need more information about your care.
