I want to make sure that if i got the procedure, that I'd be able to rest easy knowing that the fat around my eyes were gone. It makes it hard to read, sometimes it hurts and it always creates a great strain around my eyes, upper and lower. If i got the it for upper and lower and for both eyes, what would be the average cost?

Answer: Blepharoplasty and fat removal Our faces are constantly changing from birth into old age. The bone structure, fat compartments and skin all change. Therefore, surgery and all cosmetic procedures, while creating some permanent change to the structure of the face does not account for continued aging. When fat is removed, only the amount "bulging" at the time is removed, not all the fat around the eye so that depending upon how you age, more fat bulges might appear over the years. That being said, it is rare to need continued fat removal. Most of the additional fat that appears may be related to changes in the bone and surrounding structures of the eyes and cosmetic improvement is often better achieved with fillers or other procedures to tighten, reshape or lift. These days we realize that much of the bulging of fat that we see in the lower eyelids is a result of volume loss in the cheek and other areas and many patients are advised NOT to remove the bulges but rather address the volume loss in other areas (which makes the bulges no longer visible). Because of all these options, each patient is unique in what is going to provide them with the most natural appearing and longest lasting result so going to a specialist who is very experienced with cosmetic procedures around the eyes is your best chance for achieving the best result. Check their training and have them show you photos.
