When can I start massaging after Sculptra?

Massaging of the treated area can be done anytime after a Sculptra treatment. I normally massage the treated areas immediately after injecting my patients and usually do not have them massage unless they want to. Each physician will have their own preference for post treatment care for Sculptra. A common protocol is to massage 3 minutes, 3 times a day for 3 days. Some physicians prefer patients to massage 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days.

Sculptra massaging rule is 5-5-5, which stands for 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days. It doesn't have to be done at exactly the same time every day. The more massaging you do, the faster the swelling will go away.

To be perfectly honest, you don’t have to do any kind of massages after an injection with sculptra filler. But if you absolutely insist, you can do so after approximately two hours when all the fluid that’s used to suspend the product is fully absorbed by your body.
