Juvederm Ultra Plus XC comes in a box with two individual 1 cc syringes. We charge by the syringe, not by the box. Most patients only require one syringe. Each syringe typically costs $600.
You are correct that this product contains two syringes per box. However, most doctors charge per syringe, not per box of the product. Unless you specifically paid for two syringes worth of Juvederm the doctor only would have injected one of the syringes in the box, and saved the other unopened syringe for another patient. They are in completely separate packages within the box.
Allergan packages Juvederm with 2 syringes in each box. If the box has fewer than 2 syringes than the Juvederm may have come from overseas or restylane which is packaged in boxes with 1 syringe may have been used instead.
Juvederm ultra comes in 1ml or 1/2 ml syringe sizes. Ultra Plus comes in 1ml size. Both are packaged individually with 2 syringes in a box. The 1/2 syringe usually costs less, but each geographical area of the country has different price ranges. If you received a half of a syringe that is not necessarily abnormal as certain areas of the face do not require much filler. I hope this helps.
Depending on the severity of the condition and the goals/objectives of the patients, one to two syringes of Juvederm are used for the nasolabial folds every six months. Depending on the skill of the injector and the quantity used, the folds could disappear entirely or made significantly less...
There should be no problem using night creams after Juvederm. Just apply gently and avoid pushing on the area too hard. Contact your injector to discuss post treatment guidelines however.
Thank you for your question! I would recommend either Restylane or Juvederm for the smile lines and acne scar. Depending on the depth of the line would affect the choice of fillers. Please consult an expert cosmetic injectors for the best results. Best of luck!
