Would lateral canthoplasty be the best option for my eyes? (Photo)

For this reason, I would strongly discourage you from doing this to yourself.  You have other issues associated with your eye and it is possible that these are the source of your concerns.  This includes the under eye hollow, the extra fold of skin in the lower eyelids.  The upper eyelid also a bit ptotic.  The skin in the upper eyelid is a bit loose over the platform.  In short, you could benefit from a well designed eyelid surgery that dies not include a canthoplasty.  

Looking at your photos I don't think a lateral canthoplasty will give you what you are looking for.  Although often in person the exam is different than in a photo.  The eyelids are moving, dynamic structures and are best evaluated in person.  I am on oculoplastic surgeon, with specific training in eyelid position.  It would be my pleasure to examine you in person and give my opinion.  Good Luck.

The question you pose is an interesting one.  It is normal for the lateral canthus to be elevated slightly higher than the medial canthus.  I would generally not recommend a canthoplasty unless absolutely necessary.  You may benefit from a conservative upper blepharoplasty.  However, based upon the pictures provided, I would not recommend canthoplasty surgery.

It would be helpful to see a full face picture, but it looks
like your upper eyelids have some excess skin. Removing
a small amount of skin from the upper eyelids might significantly improve
the appearance of the eyes. Sometimes brow lifting alone or
in conjunction with a conservative blepharoplasty will bring you the desired
correction. Brow lifting can be accomplished with a little Botox,
or sometimes filler. A trained oculofacial surgeon would be able to
determine the appropriate procedure for you.

I am not sure why you want a canthoplasty.  I use a canthopexy all the time to support the lower lid during blepharoplasty. I will perform a canthoplasty to shorten the lower lid.

Hi Mingo. You have a great eye shape that is youthful. Normally, the outer corner (lateral canthus) is supposed to be higher than the inner corner (medial canthus). In addition, the lower eyelid ideally lies against the lower edge of the iris (colored part of eye). With age, the supporting structures of the lower lid can weaken, resulting in changes in the canthal and lower eyelid anatomy. Your anatomy is entirely normal. A lateral canthoplasty for you has the risk of doing more harm than good. Good luck. 

Thank you for your question. Although a canthoplasty will lift the outside corner of the eye it will make the eye look smaller because the distance between the upper and lower eyelid will be decreased slightly closing the eye. I would not do it.
