My dermatologist (professor at Washington University) is increasingly hesitant to perform periocular PRP injections because she has recently seen numerous patients presenting with foreign-body granulomas following PRP injections. Another dermatologist (a friend) told me she has never seen such complication and the literature only reports a handful of cases of patients also suffering from an autoimmune disease. Have you personally encountered such complication in your clinical practice?
