Hi There Thank you for your question.Over thousands of years many methods of mole removal have been developed and acids are among them. (I'm not sure garlic paste will do anything useful apart from burn your skin and leave you with a dark patch.)The problem with these methods is firstly lack of control, often the mole and the surrounding areas get damaged causing an unnecessary scar that can be worse than the mole.Secondly often the mole gets scarred then grows back immediately making it much harder for the doctor to do a good job.Thirdly but rarely some moles can be nasty and they should be removed properly to make sure they do not return.Over the last 20 years I have seen hundreds of patients wishing that they had not tried to remove their own moles, but then I have not seen the thousands who successfully removed their own moles.....In the end the choice is yours.Good Luck Kind Regards Dr Dinesh Maini Zenith Cosmetic Clinics
Thank you for your question. I would not recommend using garlic paste or any such home made method for mole removal. There may be a risk of infection or other complications. Moles can be removed surgically either by shaving off or excision. Since it is on your face, you should see an experienced cosmetic surgeon, who can remove it neatly, with minimal scarring. Lasers can also be used for small moles.
Thank you for your question. I would use extreme caution prior to using holistic or over-the-counter creams to remove moles because in my experience, individuals developed skin irritation, redness, wounds, infection, discoloration, etc. when they tried using the garlic method or other at home methods of removal. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to evaluate your mole and to discuss removal options that best suit your needs. Take care and good luck.
