Can dermabrasion help me in getting rid of self harm scars because it has been 7 years now I had tried many healing gels also but nothing happened.
Answer: A resurfacing laser such as Resurfx can help minimize the appearance of these scars. Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to discuss the best treatment options for your type of skin. . Answer: Derma abrasion Hello thanks for sharing your pictures. Derma abrasion removes upper layer of skin and does controlled healing. It is difficult to say based on pictures dermaabrasion can help reduce the elevation of scar but will not do much for the width of scar or pigmentation. How much improvement you may get is hard to predict. Consult a board certified dermatologist.

Answer: Dermabrasion Hello, I highly recommend using micro-needling for the areas you posted to help improve the appearance of the scars. Micro-needling helps create controlled damage to the area and it causes the body to make more collagen and elastin to fill in the scars. Also, using sunscreen can help prevent the scars from getting darker. Hope this helps.
