Curiously, I had a patient with similar story who sustained a dimpled, indented scar on the tip of his nose following traatment with lasers. If you were contemplating the use of a permanent filler, I would suggest thinking twice. Permanent fillers, no matter how enticing the word permanent undoubtedly is risks possible permanent complications either in the short or the long-term. So, rather than using a permanent filler, such as Bellafil, subcision may be used to treat a small dimple-like scar, such as yours, with the possible addition of a biostimulatory filler to enhance new, native collagen and elastic fiber synthesis. Six weeks following the dermabrasion should be a sufficient time for complete healing and to resolution of any tissue edema that might be subtly distorting surface characteristics. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician and ask to see his/her before and after photos. Best of luck.
