At my practice, we exclusively use Zerona® for fat reduction and our patients have seen very positive results. CoolSculpting® does seem to be the buzzword of the moment, but you can find plenty of negative reviews from people who haven't seen the outcomes they hoped for if you research. The key is to look for a practitioner who's experienced at whichever fat reduction treatment you're interested in, as skill and technical knowledge will have a major impact on your results.

Zerona laser light treatment and Coolsculpting fat freezing are non-surgical treatments to reduce subcutaneous body fat.  Zerona works by creating a photo-chemical effect that causes the fat cells to shrink in size, while coolsculpting freezes fat cells causing them to die.  Both treatments can improve body contour.  Zerona is most effective at circumferential body fat reduction while Coolsculping works better at specific spot reduction.  Both require repeat treatments to see best results.  Some patients do experience some discomfort with the Coolsculpting treatments and some can have post treatment pain (neouropraxia).  The Zerona treatment is painless and post treatment complications are rare.  Check with your physician for treatment options in your case.  Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
