I got a mole from my lower back shaved off about 3 weeks ago. I have been washing it regularly and using Neosporin and a band aid each day. However, there is a little redness around the open wound and the wound itself is whiter in color. I'm worried about the evenly spaced red dots in the wound. Is it infected?

Please see a cosmetic dermatologist to give you proper post burn skin care and sun protection to prevent scarring and hyperpigmentation. It is likely you will need fractional laser or radiofrequency and/or microneedling in 3-6 weeks to improve the apperance more quickly. Best, Dr. Emer.
