You would benefitfrom three things. A rhinoplasty to takedown the dorsal hump slightly. A lip liftand fillers to increase the upper lip fullness and decrease the distancebetween the nose and lip. Most of all achin augmentation, done intra-orally to avoid external scars. All three procedures can be done simultaneouslyor they can be done separate. Total costwould be approximately $10,000 to $12,000.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotographs, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. You may also benefit from a cephalic rotationof your tip to turn up your tip slightly and a conservative dorsal humpreduction. Lip fillers can also be performed at the same time to enhance the volume of your lips. Make sure you specifically look atbefore and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performedby your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. Irecommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plasticsurgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Click on the "Learn more" link, just below my response, or go here:FacialSurgery.com/RealSelf/RealSelf_oliviaele.htmlI made a computer morph of your nose, and an animation of the morph, to show the changes that are possible for your nose in truly expert hands.I lowered the bump on the bridge, and I elevated the tip. Then, I brought the entire nose back closer to your face. Perhaps you can see the changes best in the animation. Finally, I simulated a small chin implant, adding strength to your chin. When the chin is weak, it makes the nose look bigger, and when we make the chin bigger, it helps to draw attention away from the nose. You should understand that the changes I demonstrated in the morph require advanced techniques, techniques that most plastic surgeons cannot handle. Be sure to read the section in the "Learn more" link on how to stay out of trouble while searching for a rhinoplasty surgeon. Rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. Read that page very carefully. I'd love to hear what you think of the morph. Did it seem to address your main concerns? I could modify the morph to your taste if you wish. Maybe make the nose even a little smaller?Your nose is also a good example of why computer imaging is mandatory in rhinoplasty. You need to know exactly what the surgeon is planning to accomplish -- what features he thinks he can change, and by how much he thinks he can change them. When you see his goals, you'll know whether he has an eye for an attractive nose, and whether he shares your opinion of what constitutes an attractive nose. You'll also know whether the changes he proposes are enough to be meaningful to you, and whether he understands your wishes enough to address all of your priorities. But remember, you're not hiring him for his skills with the computer. The doctor must then show you his before and after photos to prove that he can actually accomplish what he draws on the computer. In your case in particular, you need to find a surgeon who understands all of the issues I mentioned, and how they fit together, and who can actually accomplish them in surgery.
Hi,Thank you for including your picture. I do not consider your nose huge. You have a small chin and that exaggerates the appearance of your nasal length and projection. You do have a small hump on the bridge and that can easily be reduced with rhinoplasty. Based on your photos, I would consider your chin to be a bigger source of facial imbalance than your nose. Also, fillers can easily address your lip concerns. A visit to a facial plastic surgeon will be a good place to start to discuss your aesthetic goals in detail. Best,Mehdi Sina, MD
Thank you for your question and providing photos. Just given your side profile, a chin implant and lip augmentation maybe adequate to fulfill your desires. A rhinoplasty would also be an option, along with a lip lift procedure. Please see a qualified cosmetic surgeon. During consultation, a digitized before and after photo would be very helpful to communicate potential changes. Good luck.
The best treatment options are a rhinoplasty, chin implant, and either dermal fillers or lip implants. The combination of the three would give you the best outcome. Consult with a Facial Plastic Surgeon to discuss further.
Your nose could be improved with rhinoplasty, which would give permanent improvements in your side profile. When you meet with a facial plastic surgeon, he or she will consider your nose in balance with your other features. You can bring the photos of noses that you think would be flattering to your face and these can be discussed.Cost will vary due to many factors including: facilities fees, anesthesia fees, etc. I hope this helps.
I would recommend starting with a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty surgery to discuss if rhinoplasty can address your concerns. I would recommend writing down the following questions before scheduling your consultation:1. Are you unhappy with the tip of your nose? 2. Do you feel that your nose is too wide? 3. Do you want to make your nostrils smaller in appearance? 4. Are you looking to decrease the general size of your nose?I hope some of these questions will help you pinpoint what it is that you don't like about your nose. Cost will vary due to many factors including: facilities fee and anesthesia fee. I wish you the best as you research your options when scheduling a rhinoplasty consultation.Sincerely,Philip J. Miller, MD, FACS Double Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon
The photographs from the side profile demonstrate an overly projecting nose, and an under projecting chin. A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish filing down the dorsal hump, decreasing the projection of the nose, narrowing the bridge line and refining the nasal tip, if necessary. Placement of a chin implant can augment the chin forward to help with facial balance and proportions, especially with respect to the side profile and overly projecting nose. Chin implants are manufactured in a large array of sizes and shapes, and are usually placed through a small incision underneath the chin as a standalone procedure under local anesthesia, or in combination with rhinoplasty under general anesthesia. For many examples of this combination, please see the link and the video below
You can have a rhinoplasty performed. If you want more chin projection that can be done with an implant. If you feel that your lips are too thin, then filler can be injected as well.
