I, generally speaking, do not recommend that patients have fillers placed into their lower eyelids. The skin in the eyelids is very thin, as is the muscle, and it’s very difficult to hide the filler as it tends to move in this area because of the action of the orbicularis oculi muscle, which acts like a sphincter and compresses the filler closer to the nose.
