Chin lipo pain level concerns & can I get fat embolism?

Hello,I'm getting chin lipo under local anesthesia, opted for no additionalpain relief such as a pain killer or anxiety meds. I've read some people have terrible pain during the numbing process. Can someone please explain the pain level during this. also, is it possible to get a fat embolism during this procedure?

I do I’ll Liposuction and fat transfer procedures with my patient awake used to local anesthesia typically with mild sedation.

Smaller procedures like doing arms or chin and neck can be done without sedation.

Debility to perform these procedures without inflicting significant pain is an art form. Some people are better at it than others.

The key is to be patient and go slowly.

If the surgeon does that then it isn’t that painful.

If they go fast that it hurts.

A lot depends on how much experience your surgeon has doing awake liposuction procedures in the past.

Is your surgeon gentle by nature and patient?

Likewise, patients differ substantially and how they perceive these procedures.

For some people it’s overwhelming and challenging to get through and for others it’s just one of those things in life.

It’s probably in par with having a dental implant, wisdom tooth extraction or a large tattoo over bony surfaces.

People who can handle challenges in life especially physical challenges do fine.

For example people who are serious about exercise can typically tolerate some discomfort because to use to physical adversity.

People who are sheltered and do not challenge themselves may find the procedure overwhelming.
