Question

I'm worried about varied results from scarring with a LBL. My surgeon now is concerned about having enough to lipo for a BBL but I'm nervous about scarring with a LBL. My thighs are my top concern as I have so much laxity and deformity in them now. I've been told it's mostly skin but wondering what other doctors would suggest. I'm 150 and 5'6 BMI 24

Thank you for your question regarding what to do with your body in terms of your inner thighs, outer thighs, hips, and buttocks. I believe you are considering a spiral thigh lift versus a lower body lift combined, possibly with a BBL. Let's analyze your pictures. On your inner thigh, you have excess skin and fat of the upper inner thigh. My concern is if you just have thigh liposuction, you will be left with redundant skin on the inner thigh. Therefore, in my opinion, you need an inner thigh lift from the groin, partially down the thigh. Your plastic surgeon could collect the fat from the inner thigh and save it for a BBL. In regards to your hips, in one picture, you are grabbing excess skin and fat of the hips. This is indeed excess skin and fat. My concern is that if you just do liposuction, I do not think your skin will contract as much as pinching. Therefore, in my opinion, you need a hip lift and reduction. In terms of the buttocks, though not extreme, you have some mild skin laxity. In my opinion, you do not necessarily need a buttock lift. Therefore, I would suggest a longitudinal medial thigh lift from the groin partially down the inner thigh. This could be combined with a bilateral hip lift reduction where the incision starts in the front of the hip and extends towards the back but does not meet at the top of the buttock crack. This could also be combined with a fat transfer or BBL. The main issue with the BBL is that you do not have much body fat. This is a good problem. I hope this helps to answer your questions regarding what to do with your inner thighs, hips, and buttocks.

Thanks for your question. It doesn't seem like you have a lot of excess skin on your inner thighs but the photos can be misleading. It's normally not advised to have BBL with Medial Thigh Lift. But Liposuction lower back, flanks and banana roll can enhance your buttocks. I'd advise to have consultations with other board certified plastic surgeons to make sure you have all the options.
