Thank you for your question regarding if an outer thigh lift will also help the inner thigh. We must be clear when we discuss the outer thigh lift. There is a horizontal outer thigh lift which is probably best described more as a hip lift than a thigh lift. There is also an outer vertical thigh lift. Let me explain the hip lift. A horizontal incision follows your beltline and the hip is lifted in a horizontal fashion. An outer thigh lift is a rarely performed procedure even for me, where an incision is made from your hip down your outer thigh to your outer knee. During this procedure, the outer thigh is significantly reduced. This vector is if you pull your outer thigh in a line drawn from your outer knee to your hip. The pull is in a vertical dimension, not a horizontal dimension. In regards to improving your inner thigh, only the vertical outer thigh lift with the incision from your hip to your knee significantly influences your inner thigh. The incision over your hip, namely the horizontal hip lift, does not significantly improve the inner thigh. If you’re concerned about the inner thigh, you should have an inner thigh lift, not an outer thigh lift.
