Spasms/tremors, Sometimes Visible on Upper Nose Following Rhinoplasty?

At random times throughout the day, I experience spasms/tremors/sensations in the upper 1/3 of my nose. Sometimes I have been before a mirror as I experience these spasms, and the skin where the sensation is occuring visibly moves. It is more extreme than the tingling of attaching nerves that I experience. Is this a concern? Thank you.

Tingling after a rhinoplasty is not unusual and may take 6-9 months to resolve. However, visible moving along the upper 1/3 of your nose is less common. Some possible causes could include overthinning of the upper 1/3 of your nose skin, partial resection of the procerus muscle or corrugator muscle, placement of graft superficial to the muscles of the nose. I would discuss with your surgeon for a better explanation in your case.

Spasms and tingling of the nasal muscles are not unusual after surgery and should resolve without problems.  Light massage may be beneficial.
