Is there any Doctor that can help me with endoscopic removal of osteoma, lipoma or scar tissue in my forehead?

Thank you for your question.  I frequently remove forehead lipomas and osteomas via endoscopic incisions placed behind the hair line.  Scar tissue on the other hand cannot be easily treated endoscopically.  It may be helpful to get a CT scan to characterize the mass.  This can often differentiate a bony mass from a fatty tumor from an area of scar within the skin itself.  This helps with the surgical approach and planning.  All the best!

It is important to try to figure out what it is before planning treatment.  In general, a small incision can be used to remove a lipoma.  It is not usually done endoscopically and, in fact, the incision is so small that it is unlikely to be obtrusive, even on that part of your face.If, on the other hand, it's an osteoma then it has to be treated by - most likely - a neurosurgeon.  I would that, again, a direct incision would be beneficial for appropriate exposure on such an important site.You should start with a general or plastic surgeon near you and be assessed in person if at all possible before trying to make a decision on the surgical approach.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. Alan EnglerMember of RealSelf100
